This lake is so wonderful. Buena Vista Golf Course is a fine golf course close by; Farmington River - Collinsville has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There's some flowing water close by, Bass Brook is a stream you can pop by while you're here,       and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Tunxis Trail. A delightful lake like Batterson Park Pond near Lower Pond is a splendid place to check out, and if the weather is delightful, you get a delightful view of Burnt Hill from Lower Pond. Summertime highs at Lower Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while Lower Pond overnight low temperatures                  through the wintertime are in the 10's. You'll find a wonderful lake called Burnt Hill Reservoir near Lower Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Metacomet Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Mount Southington, and do take a hike on the Mattabesset Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff next to Lower Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Eagle Feather is a brilliant location to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Hartford Farmington. You'll meet a lot of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here, and Talcott Mountain State Park is a pleasant place. Golden Acres Campground is a great campground nearby. Lower Pond gets a lot of water; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
