Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Upper Lagoon; you have to go to Beebe Cove when you're here. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. This lake is so wonderful. Groton Long Point South Beach is close to The Lower Lagoon if you're in a beach type of mood, and Howard Johnson Express Inn -Groton is a good site to get some rest.       Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near The Lower Lagoon. Highland Orchards Resort Park is a great local campground, and a magnificent close by hotel is Marriott Mystic Hotel And Spa. All through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at The Lower Lagoon. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at The Lower Lagoon throughout the wintertime frequently                  sink into the 10's.
