A lake close by is Morse Meadow Pond, and people from Willimantic love to come here. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Natchaug River, and a journey to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Camping at Beaver Pines Campground is always a delightful experience, and Lost Pond is not the only place nearby, Harmon Pond is a nearby lake. Bigelow Hollow State Park is a perfect place to go if you're at Lost Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Sturbridge is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Nothing beats kicking back at Woodstock Town Beach; Bigelow Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. Just can't get enough of Lost Pond.
