     Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Salmon River, and there are other locations here than Lord Pond, for example Comstock Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Selden Neck State Park is a tremendous place; Comstock Pond Dam is a pretty place. Lord Pond is a quite wet place usually with lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through May, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Lord Pond. A  
   great swamp in the vicinity of Lord Pond is Mine Swamp.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Wolf's Den Family Campground while you're here at Lord Pond, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Bushy Hill Pond. A golf course near Lord Pond is Hillside Links Golf Course, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Super 8 Old Saybrook. A cool spot to stop at close to Lord Pond is Pine Ledge, and here at Lord Pond you can observe Bushy Hill.

               is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Quotonset Beach is relatively nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. If you came for an overnight stay Devil's Hopyard State Park is a tremendous spot to camp, and Hammonasset River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. For the period of the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lord Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Lord Pond tend to be in the 10's.
If you need a place to stay Waters Edge Resort and Spa is a splendid choice, and you can hit the beach if you want, Middle Beach is practically right here.

THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return.
