Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Loon Lake is one of them. This is a splendid region for people who like lakes. Shultz Pond is a lake in the vicinity, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Dead Wood Swamp is right close by. The peak of Bradley Mountain can be seen from Loon Lake, and Talcott Mountain State Park is a pleasant location to stretch your legs a bit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville, and camping is available

| | at Camp Eagle Feather. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge; why not take a look at Shuttle Meadow Reservoir Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Cooks Gap if you're here at Loon Lake. While you're here at Loon Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and don't leave Loon Lake without first going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail. | |

So many cool things to do here at Loon Lake, too pleasant to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Farmington River offers some magnificent whitewater, and getting to Trout Brook Number 1 from Loon Lake is easy. Fairfield
Inn & Suites Plainville is a delightful place to get some rest; going for a hike on the Metacomet Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly into lakes, Hamlin Pond is one of those nearby, and if
you came for an overnight stay Gentile's Camp Ground is a tremendous site to camp. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Mount Southington; you can go for a hike on the Tunxis Trail. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll
adore Loon Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Marriott Hartford Farmington, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Hawk's Landing Country Club. Loon Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the
months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. All through the days of summer at Loon Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Loon Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
