Many people like to go to Lockwood Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Waters Edge Resort and Spa; camping is available at Riverdale Camp Sites. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hammonasset River, and camping at River Road Campground is always a great experience. beach, Clinton Town Beach is close at hand. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lockwood Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to
the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lockwood Lake. Hammonasset Beach State Park is a perfect site, and Lockwood Lake Dam has glorious water scenery. You just must have a thing about Lockwood Lake. Here at Lockwood
Lake you can see Cow Hill; why not check out Sandy Point also since you're here. Looking for something next to Lockwood Lake? Indian Lake is close by, and there's pleasant hiking along the West Woods Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
Lockwood Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rainfall; through the month of April you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail, and after a long day outdoors A Victorian Village Inn is a splendid site to spend a night or two.
