After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Worcester Auburn is a good place to spend a night or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. If you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some splendid whitewater, and swamps are attention-grabbing places and Jerrys Swamp close to Little Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Mavis       Pond Number 1 is close at hand; Webster Koa Family Kampground is a wonderful local campground. Be careful coming to Little Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. Take a side spree to Knowlton Brook, and don't leave Little Pond without first going for a hike along the Walkabout Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Little Pond. Quaddick State Park is both delightful and charming, and it's in the vicinity of Little Pond, and lots of                  folks from Willimantic come here. Little Pond is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Indian Ranch Campground is a delightful site to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Border Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond is a good lake right next door to Little Pond, and nearby you stumble on Bates Cove. Little Pond generally gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is February. A glorious nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct, and the peak of Emerson Hill can be distinguished from Little Pond. Go for a hike on the Munyan Trail, and if you haven’t been to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor, you should schedule some time for it while you're here. High temperatures at Little Pond during the months of summer are in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's.
