If you are in this part of Connecticut make sure to pay a visit to Little Pond. There's perfect hiking along the Mattatuck Trail, and at Little Pond you can see Barney Hill. Pond is always good; if you've had enough of Little Pond, Duck Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a good spot to camp, and visiting Mt. Tom State Park
is a good thing to do. Spend the day on the beach at Litchfield Town Beach since you're here at Little Pond, and Marsh Point is reasonably close. Bantam Swamp is an exciting swamp close to Little Pond; the Naugatuck Trail offers
hiking at its best. Through the warm months at Little Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during
the winter temperatures at Little Pond fall into the 10's. Be careful coming to Little Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Camping is available at Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative, and near Little Pond you locate
a golf course called Stonybrook Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail; Mohawk Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. All the water falling down from the sky makes
Little Pond a wet place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
