Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Litchfield Reservoir is one of them. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. While you're here at Litchfield Reservoir you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; camping is available at Valley In The Pines Campground. Hiking along the Mattatuck Trail is perfect fun, and if the weather is pretty, you acquire a delightful sight of Brush Hill from Litchfield Reservoir. Going for

Camping at Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is always a fine experience, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Woodbury. John A. Minetto State Park is worth stopping at if you're at Litchfield Reservoir, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater | |

of Shepaug River. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Litchfield Reservoir. You'll meet a lot of people from Torrington here; if you want to hit the beach, Litchfield Town Beach is in the neighborhood. If you like swamps,
you're in luck, Long Swamp is right nearby, and you can hit the slopes at Mohawk Mountain in close proximity. The high level of rain makes Litchfield Reservoir a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls during August while February
is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Hatchaloosie Reservoir near Litchfield Reservoir is a good spot to check out, and an afternoon playing golf at Stonybrook Golf Course is always a diversion.
If you need a spot to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice; after a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. During the warmest time of the year at Litchfield
Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Litchfield Reservoir all through the winter mostly fall into
the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Fox Brook; you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Dog Pond.
