If you are traveling by, why not stop by Litchfield Reservoir. At Litchfield Reservoir during the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Litchfield Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is wonderful fun, and close to Litchfield Reservoir you find a golf course called Stonybrook

After a long day outdoors Litchfield Inn is a perfect site to spend a night or two; Litchfield Reservoir is right by the Mattatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Litchfield Reservoir is a nice place to camp, Valley In The Pines Campground is a nice place, and the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. John A. Minetto State Park is a magnificent site, and
a fine beach close by is Litchfield Town Beach. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Litchfield Reservoir. Long Swamp is an attention-grabbing swamp close to Litchfield Reservoir, and lots of people
from Torrington come here. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Litchfield Reservoir. Hit the slopes at Mohawk Mountain around here, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Hatchaloosie
Reservoir is just a very short distance away. You get a glorious panorama of Brush Hill from Litchfield Reservoir. Camping at Litchfield Reservoir is nice fun, Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is a nice local campground,
and Bantam River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shepaug River; Woodbury is a very popular ski area close at hand.
