A visit to Lily Pond is always a good idea. Any time is a glorious time at Lily Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Stay the night at Gentile's Camp Ground, and going for a hike on the Quinnipiac Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Orange Hills Country Club is a glorious way to kill some time, and while here here do have a look at nearby Prospect Beach. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lily Pond a wet spot; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. and a day at Sea Bluff Beach is time well spent. Near Lily Pond you stumble on the Regicides Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail; the slopes of Powder Ridge are so inviting noone can resist. There's so much to do here at
Lily Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Black Rock State Park is a good place for that; Mount Southington is a good local ski area. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lily Pond. Take a little spree to Belden
Brook since you're here at Lily Pond; Pine Rock is an interesting place to have a look at while at Lily Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Center Pond is close to Lily Pond; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Conference Center is a
perfect spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Lily Pond. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the
winter are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lily Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. Swamps like Beaver Pond Meadows are fun to stop at; there are wonderful sites to look at along the Naugatuck Trail.
