Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - Collinsville, and a quick visit to Big Brook is unquestionably a delightful idea. Summertime highs at Lily Pond generally tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lily Pond drop into the 10's. A pretty lake like Stub Pond close to Lily Pond is a great place to check out, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ski Sundown. So much amusing stuff to do at Lily Pond, so little time.
