Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Leonard Pond is one of them. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Leonard Pond get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Leonard Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. and you can stay the night at Buck's Rock Camp. If the weather is nice here at Leonard Pond, you can go for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. There's so much to do here at Leonard Pond that you need to camp here
for a while, Lake Waramaug State Park is a good place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. Macedonia Brook State Park is a beautiful place any time of year; The Cottages At Kent Road is a tremendous site to get some rest. But
wait, there's more to do close to Leonard Pond. Really great skiing awaits you at Thunder Ridge, and as expected Choggam Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out. You can run the rapids of Tenmile next to Leonard Pond,
and Leonard Pond is a place with many visitors from Torrington.
