The yearly rainfall here at Leonard Pond is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Mohawk Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is wonderful fun. The warmest time of the year at Leonard Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends       down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Leonard Pond drop into the 10's. A brilliant site for whitewater paddling close to Leonard Pond is Tenmile; Leonard Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Waramaug State Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Red Carpet Inn & Suites New Milford; needless to say Choggam Brook                  flows through this neighborhood. While you're here at Leonard Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Hatch Pond, and a visit to Macedonia Brook State Park revives the soul. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Leonard Pond has it all. Grand Staircase is an attention-grabbing thing to see while you're here at Leonard Pond, and you can run the rapids of Housatonic River. If you need a location to stay The Cottages At Kent Road is a wonderful choice, and from Leonard Pond you acquire a pleasant sight of Mount Algo. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Mill Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. There's so much to do here at Leonard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Buck's Rock Camp is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful.
