Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Torrington, and Farmington River - Riverton has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. High temperatures at Laurel Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's; overnight lows in the 10's for Laurel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Laurel Lake Dam close to Laurel Lake is delightful,

| | and you can observe West Hill from Laurel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a great location to spend a night or two, and you'll probably meet some people from Torrington here. Don't forget to take a fine little tour to Mallory Brook, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Mattatuck Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Laurel Lake. Going for a hike | |

on the Tunxis Trail is always a magnificent adventure; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Farmington River. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Laurel Lake. Gotta ski! Otis Ridge is a splendid site to do
that. The slopes of Ski Sundown are so inviting noone can resist, and Laurel Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. If you get bored of Laurel Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Rizzo Pond, and camping is available
at American Legion State Forest. A pleasant place like Burr Pond State Park right next door to Laurel Lake is too magnificent to leave out; a pleasant site to camp here at Laurel Lake is Austin Hawes Campground. Much rain falls
at Laurel Lake; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is January.
