Laurel Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Laurel Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Mallory Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Laurel Lake Dam close to Laurel Lake. Hit the slopes at Ski Sundown nearby, and Laurel Lake is a good location

| | to visit for more than one day, Austin Hawes Campground is a good location to camp nearby. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Riverton; a pleasant close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn - Torrington is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and a great place like Burr Pond State Park is too wonderful to leave out. some fine whitewater, and West Hill Pond is a good lake nearby. If you're visiting Laurel Lake from Torrington, you won't be the only one, and West Hill can be made out from Laurel Lake. Man, is there loads of fun things to do
close to Laurel Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Otis Ridge. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and you can stay the night
at White Pines Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Laurel Lake is right by the Tunxis Trail. Lakes? Sure, Laurel Lake is in close proximity. All through the long summer days here at Laurel Lake, high temperatures ordinarily
reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Laurel Lake drop into the 10's.
