You'll meet a lot of people from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk here, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on East Aspetuck River. A great panorama of scenic Camfield Hill is available from Laurel Lake, and there are other places here than Laurel Lake, for example Davidge Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Norwalk River offers       some wonderful whitewater; Southport Beach is a beach nearby that you can take a look at. All through the summer at Laurel Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Laurel Lake tend to be in the 10's. This place is excellent, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Laurel Lake. This lake is so                  wonderful. Laurel Lake is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Kettletown State Park is a pleasant spot to camp nearby; not far from Laurel Lake you'll discover Beaver Brook Pond which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay The Inn at National Hall is a good choice, and a day on the slopes of Thunder Ridge is just what you need. Beaver Brook is a tremendous local stream, and you can take a little journey to Beaver Brook Pond Dam while you're here at Laurel Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do at Laurel Lake, so little time. Putnam Memorial Park is a fine site to go if you're at Laurel Lake, and Mountain Workshop is a wonderful campground nearby.
