Laurel Lake is always a pleasure to visit. If you came to camp Kettletown State Park is a great place to do that, and Laurel Lake is not the only spot close by, Beaver Brook Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Brook is a glorious place to visit, and you can hit the slopes at Thunder Ridge close by. Laurel Lake is not far at all from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, and Laurel Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hither Hills State

| | Park is a great local campground. You absolutely have to have a thing about Laurel Lake. Norwalk River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by, and Putnam Memorial Park is a delightful site to stretch your legs a bit. Summertime at Laurel Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Beach is a beautiful beach to explore. Whitewater paddling is nice on East Aspetuck River. Laurel Lake is a wet location that gets much rainfall; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. This lake
is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Inn at National Hall is a magnificent choice, and a trip to Sasco Hill Beach is always a magnificent idea.
