Hidden Acres Family Campground
 | I took my two sons here for a week this summer and it was awesome!! We went in the middle of the summer and the weather was pretty good.? We had a couple good rainstorms at night but it always cleared up for the day.? My kids loved swimming in the pool and the river.? The river was so warm and if you went out to the big rocks the water was rough and felt like a hot tub!!? My sons (7 and 4&1/2)had a blast riding their scooters all over the campgrounds with the other kids.? They spent most of their time trying to catch frogs and tadpoles and playing at the playground.? We went to the ceramic shop and painted a keepsake for home.? We will definately be going back next year.? My kids want to go for two weeks this time but we will see.... |

Hopeville Pond State Park
 | 12 miles away ...BR> About an hours after the kids jump in the water, that park ranger pulls up to our campsite and comes over with his flashlight pointing at us, asking us what we were doing. At first we did not think anything of it, until we figured out that he was assuming we were the ones making the noise. He said their was a noise complaint called in and we told him it was not us. We did not even have music playing. But he seemed like he did not care what we said. Then he asked if anyone was disturbing us, and we said no. Then he says, because you're probably the ones disturbing everyone else. That what got me and my wife angry. Then he asked if we were in the water, and as we were answering no, he was flashing the light up and down to see if we were wet. At that exact moment the park ranger's accusing us, the guilty ones (the kids) came walking around the corner screaming and laughing and wet from having a great time, I'm guessing. So my wife already angry says in a loud voice, I GUESS THAT'S US OFFICER. He got really angry, his face turned red. He ran up to the kids yelling at the top of hi... |
