The Mattatuck Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Winnemaug, and do pop by Smith Pond Brook if you're here at Lake Winnemaug. Get dripping wet paddling on Bantam River, and you obtain a tremendous panorama of Bald Hill from here. Lake Winnemaug typically gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture. to offer, you can camp at Black Rock State Park; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Naugatuck Trail. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Lake Winnemaug. On a fine day you can stop at Miry Swamp,
a swamp near Lake Winnemaug; great skiing awaits you at Woodbury. If you need a location to stay Crowne Plaza Hotel SOUTHBURY is a great choice, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Shepaug River. Lakes? Sure, Atwood Pond is
in the neighborhood, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Pomperaug Golf Club. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Balmoral Farm Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn
Waterbury. At Lake Winnemaug all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 20's while the
cold winter nights at Lake Winnemaug are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Southington. This lake is so wonderful. Buell Flats is a wonderful spot; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail.
