     Lake Whitney is a nice lake to visit. If you came for an overnight stay Gentile's Camp Ground is a magnificent spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Lake Whitney you'll meet some folks from New Haven-Milford for sure, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Regicides Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Whitney a wet place; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is February.
One
 
   of the best things about Lake Whitney is its proximity to Shell Beach, and spots like West Rock Ridge State Park are good to take a look at. Take a hike on the Naugatuck Trail; Laurel View Country Club Golf is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is The Historic Mansion Inn, and Mount Southington is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.

               first paying a visit to Ball Spring, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Whitney; Quinnipiac Trail is a tremendous local trail. If you're here at Lake Whitney, do take a journey to Grape Vine Point, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Little River. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a glimpse of at Lake Whitney Dam in the neighborhood of Lake Whitney, and the trees of College Woods are a glorious source of shade on hot summer days.
All through the warm months at Lake Whitney highs are ordinarily in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Whitney. During your stay at Lake Whitney do stop by nearby West Silver Sands Beach, and if the weather is lovely, you get a tremendous panorama of East Rock from Lake Whitney. So many fun things to do here at Lake Whitney, too good to be true. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Powder Ridge, and Omni New Haven Hotel is a perfect place to get some rest.
