Camping at Gentile's Camp Ground is always a nice experience; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott New Haven At Yale. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. While you're here at Lake Watrous you can play some golf at Laurel View Country Club Golf; do take a hike on the Regicides Trail. And if that's not sufficient,       there's a lot more to do near Lake Watrous. If you get bored of Lake Watrous, you could also take a look at nearby Glen Lake. Carrington Hill is clearly visible from Lake Watrous, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Lake Watrous Dam. Mount Southington has nice slopes and a friendly staff; hiking along the Quinnipiac Trail is magnificent fun. Lake Watrous is a wet spot that gets a large amount of precipitation; through the                  month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Watrous is not the only location close by, Lake Chamberlain is a close by lake; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Naugatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Powder Ridge close at hand, and Econo Lodge Conference Center is a perfect site to get some rest. Throughout the summertime months at Lake Watrous highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows at Lake Watrous all through the winter frequently dip into the 10's. This is a popular site for folks from New Haven-Milford, and do explore Sanford Brook since you're here at Lake Watrous.
