You don’t have to go far from Lake Plymouth to catch a sight of the water at Lake Plymouth Dam; Lake Plymouth is not far at all from New Haven-Milford. stuff. If you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - Riverton offers some pleasant whitewater, and Mount Southington has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. There's glorious hiking along the Mattatuck Trail, and get
yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Plymouth. Gentile's Camp Ground is a good local campground; dry warm beds await you at Wolcott Inn And Suites. This lake is
so wonderful. The Tunxis Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can hit the slopes at Ski Sundown in the vicinity. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Waterbury is a good place to spend a night or two, and you obtain a pleasant vista of Birch Hill from here.
