A lovely lake like Plymouth Lake next to Lake Plymouth is a great site to stop by, and from Lake Plymouth you acquire a tremendous panorama of Birch Hill. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the neighborhood of Lake Plymouth. Farmington River - Collinsville is a good whitewater       spot close to Lake Plymouth, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Sundown is relatively near. At Lake Plymouth you always meet someone from New Haven-Milford, and the snow is great at Mount Southington. During the months of summer highs here at Lake Plymouth reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 10's for Lake Plymouth. You believe that's                  sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Gentile's Camp Ground is a good local campground; on a great day you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Waterbury Downtown is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Black Rock State Park when you're here at Lake Plymouth is a wonderful idea; if you're here you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. Black Rock State Park is a great campground nearby, and while you're here, you could pop by Sutliffe Brook. Lake Plymouth sees pretty high levels of rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
