Beaver Brook is in close proximity to Lake Mcdonough and is always a joy to pop by. There's so much to do here at Lake Mcdonough that you need to camp here for a while, American Legion State Forest is a nice location for that. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Lake Mcdonough. | |

Don't leave Lake Mcdonough without visiting Stratton Brook State Park, and if you came to camp Austin Hawes Campground is a good place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Metacomet Trail, and you're
sure to bump into some friendly people from Torrington here. There are some great whitewater spots on Farmington River, and Compensating Reservoir is a splendid lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Simsbury Inn is a perfect
location to get some rest, and Lake Mcdonough is right by the Mattatuck Trail. On a delightful day you obtain a vista of Breezy Hill from Lake Mcdonough; get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Riverton. Lakes are
such calm sites, why not take a look at Barkhamsted Reservoir near Lake Mcdonough. Why not pop by Richards Corner Dam if you're here, and Ski Sundown has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. Lake Mcdonough is a relatively wet place
generally with a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is January.
