Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. There are swamps here too; Dark Swamp is nearby; good hiking is available along the Narragansett Trail. High temperatures at Lake Marie all through the months of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime       are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Marie are in the 10's. One of the governing features of the surroundings of Lake Marie is Wawecus Hill, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn NORWICH. This lake is so wonderful. Natchaug River is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Lake Marie, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Norwich is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
