Near Lake Konomoc you come across the Narragansett Trail which is a good hiking trail, and when you're here it's always fun to check out Rocky Neck State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Walnut Hill Country Club is a golf course close to Lake Konomoc, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers       some tremendous whitewater. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Konomoc, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Lake Konomoc. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Natchaug River. Hit the beach if you want, Green Harbor Beach is practically right here, and dry warm beds await you at Oakdell Motel. Be careful coming to Lake Konomoc, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Great Swamp is right nearby, and on a great day it's a good idea to spend the day at Kiddie Beach. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability into lakes, Bogue Brook Reservoir is one of those nearby, and places like Wolf Pit Plain are perfect to pop by. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Konomoc. Lake Konomoc Dam has brilliant water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Lake Konomoc; if you came for an overnight stay Laurel-lock Campgrounds is a glorious place to camp. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Konomoc a wet spot; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
