Do stop by Lake Hayward while you're in this part of Connecticut. Summertime highs at Lake Hayward usually tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Hayward. This lake is so wonderful. Roxbury Falls is an inspiring location to go to while here. Be careful coming to Lake Hayward, you might not ever want to return back home again. A trip to Collis P. Huntington State Park when you're here at Lake Hayward is never
a bad idea, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck River. An afternoon playing golf at Sunset Hill Golf Club is always a bliss, and whitewater paddling is
glorious on Shepaug River. While you're here at Lake Hayward you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Lakes are pleasant; Roe Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Lake Hayward, and swing by Camp
Brook it's a brilliant place to go to. From a rainfall point of view Lake Hayward is a quite common spot; June is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be
in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Wewaka Brook Pond, and lots of people from Torrington come here.
