Very striking scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Woodbury, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shepaug River. Lake Elise is right by the Mattatuck Trail; Bedlam Hill is painless to spot from Lake Elise. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near Lake Elise. There's fine hiking along the Mattatuck Trail, and a golf course nearby is Golf Club at Oxford. Lake Quassapaug is a nearby

| | lake that you could pop by, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Crowne Plaza Hotel SOUTHBURY. This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Avalon Farm Pond close to Lake Elise, it's a wonderful lake, and do pop by Lake Elise Dam while you're here. On a nice day you can pop by Cedar Swamp, a swamp in the neighborhood of Lake Elise, and the Naugatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. out; Branchbrook Campground is a splendid local campground. During your spree to Lake Elise you'll meet some people from New Haven-Milford for sure, and Black Rock State Park is a pleasant campground nearby. What a place this
is for outdoors folks. A trip to close by Big Cove is very relaxing, and Bantam River is a great whitewater spot nearby. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Elise a rather wet spot; the month of June is the wettest with most
of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just have to do. Hampton Inn Waterbury is a pleasant place to get some rest, and Buell
Flats is a wonderful location any time of year. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lake Elise with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Lake Elise.
