    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Bethany. High temperatures at Lake Bethany through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Bethany dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Laurel View Country Club Golf; Lake Bethany Dam is not far at  
   all from Lake Bethany. Camping at Gentile's Camp Ground is always a great experience, and there are perfect places to explore along the Naugatuck Trail.
After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Conference Center is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and the view of wonderful Carrington Hill is perfect. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Sanford Brook, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Southington
 
               since you're here.
Going for a hike on the Quinnipiac Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Farmington River - Collinsville has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Lots of people from New Haven-Milford come to Lake Bethany, and lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Lake Chamberlain. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Lake Watrous is a great lake next to Lake Bethany, and Lake Bethany is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, National Computer Camps is a glorious local campground.
Lake Bethany really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. West Rock Ridge State Park is both good and lovely, and it's near Lake Bethany, and dry warm beds await you at Hamden-Days Inn. There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Lake Bethany called the Regicides Trail, and skiing at Powder Ridge is one of those things you just ought to do. Lake Bethany gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
