    What a nice lake LaCourse Pond is. If you need a place to stay Knights Inn Southington is a tremendous choice, and LaCourse Pond is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Gentile's Camp Ground is a nice site to camp nearby. There's great hiking along the Quinnipiac Trail; hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Southington is a pleasant site to do that.
Getting to Dayton Brook from LaCourse Pond is trouble-free, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River
 
   - Collinsville. At LaCourse Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at LaCourse Pond. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at LaCourse Pond. While you're here at LaCourse Pond, you could also visit delightful Southington Reservoir Number 1; you'll meet a lot of folks from New Haven-Milford here.
There are magnificent
 
               places to look at along the Tunxis Trail; striking scenery and perfect skiing is what you obtain at Powder Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave LaCourse Pond without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail; a pleasant place like Sleeping Giant State Park is too brilliant to leave out. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at LaCourse Pond. Enjoy a round of golf at Pine Valley Golf Course not far from LaCourse Pond, and you can hit the beach if you want, Dossin Park Beach is practically right here.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything LaCourse Pond has to offer, you can camp at Black Rock State Park; you'll find a charming lake called Plants Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Residence Inn By Marriott Southington is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - Riverton offers some glorious whitewater. LaCourse Pond typically gets lots of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
