    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Kinney Pond. People from Willimantic love to come to Kinney Pond; when you're here it's always fun to have a look at Bigelow Hollow State Park. You simply must like Kinney Pond. A lovely lake like Bigelow Pond in close proximity to Kinney Pond is a wonderful site to check out, also Bigelow Pond Dam is worth checking out while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day  
   outdoors Travelodge Sturbridge is a fine place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Kinney Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pines Campground is a great site for that.
If you need a place to stay Sturbridge Days Inn is a wonderful choice, and of course, all our national parks are good spots to take a look at and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. Summer at Kinney Pond comes
 
               with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Kinney Pond throughout the winter typically dip into the 10's. If you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some nice whitewater; it's a perfect idea to stop at Bush Meadow Brook.
There are some splendid whitewater spots on Quaboag River; one of the governing marks of the surroundings of Kinney Pond is Coye Hill. Kinney Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Brialee Campground is a good spot to do that.
