Why not pop by nearby Beach Brook since you're here at Kettle Pond, and Barndoor Hills is clearly visible from Kettle Pond. Kettle Pond is a relatively wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; through May this area sees the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Ski Sundown has glorious slopes and a friendly staff, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Farmington River. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody

| | but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - Collinsville; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Stratton Brook State Park. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Simsbury Farms Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time; the main characteristic in the neighborhood is the Barndoor Hills. at Southwick Acres Campground if you're here at Kettle Pond, and nearby you hit upon the Metacomet Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Lakes are fine; Spring Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Kettle Pond; going for a
hike on the County Road Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Dutch Iris Inn, The is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and Great Pond State Forest is a perfect local forest. Having a perfect time at Kettle Pond is trouble-free.
A magnificent location to camp here at Kettle Pond is Golden Acres Campground; Great Pond Dam is a delightful site. Blandford is a very popular ski area around here, and not far from Kettle Pond you'll come across Three Corner Pond
which is a lovely lake. Go for a hike on the Link Trail, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Simsbury 1820
House. High temperatures at Kettle Pond during the warm months are in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kettle Pond.
