River; why not camp at Mountain Workshop since you're here at Lake Kenosia. You can run the rapids of Norwalk River close to Lake Kenosia, and since you're here, you could also stop at striking Shadow Lake. Swamps don’t sound
that wonderful but Mill Plain Swamp close to Lake Kenosia is rather wonderful. During the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 80's at Lake Kenosia, and the night is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. High
temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Lake Kenosia tend to be in the 10's. So much amusing stuff near Lake Kenosia, truly incredible. Take a little journey to
Kissen Brook while you're here at Lake Kenosia, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Richter Park Municipal Golf Course is around here.

 | 15 miles away I was at the camp from 1963-1969. It shaped my childhood. My mother was there when she was a kid too. I found her name carved into one of the bunks on the rafters: Sydell Freiman 1949! Shame it's not used anymore for innercity poor kids, like we were. Ellen Knebel...I'm sad to hear that the camp itself is not there any more. I worked there in 69-73...I began working on ''the senior side'' and we livrf in ''the mansion'' for one summer. ...There was a house at the middle of the camp itself where the camp director lived. Is it still there??...(2008) I know the family that owns this beautiful property. A few years ago, I volunteered as a companion (weekly visits over a 2 year period) for his 90 year old mother, Millicent. The owner's name is Kenneth... |
