The beauty of Kelly Ponds attracts many people from all around. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a pleasant site to get some rest; on a delightful day you obtain a glorious sight of Allen Hill from Kelly Ponds. The nice people of Willimantic like to hang out close by, and Kelly Ponds is next to Mashamoquet Brook State Park which is a wonderful place. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Kelly Ponds dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Man, is there a load of fun things to do near Kelly Ponds. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Kelly Ponds; Walkabout Trail is a glorious local trail,
and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Natchaug River. Lakes? Sure, Taft Pond is close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kelly Ponds a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here while February
is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Harrisville Golf Course; why not visit Abbott Dam since you're here. Good hiking is available along the Munyan Trail, and if you came for
an overnight stay Wolf Den Campground is a wonderful location to camp. Mashamoquet Brook State Forest is a glorious local forest, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Quinebaug River. If only every site had this much
outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. If you need a spot to stay The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a nice choice, and why not a little side spree to Abington Brook.
