Lakes are such calm sites, why not visit North Westchester Pond in close proximity to Jones Street Pond; the top of Burrows Hill is easily seen from Jones Street Pond. A large amount of rain falls at Jones Street Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Jones Street Pond are in the 10's. at Jones Street Pond. Jones Street Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Markham Meadows Campgrounds is a perfect local campground; an afternoon playing golf at Chanticlair Public Golf Course is always a diversion. This
lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Jones Street Pond Dam, and there's some flowing water close by, Hope Valley Brook is a stream you can pop by while you're here.

Odetah Campground
 | 16 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
