A large amount of rain falls at Jones Street Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Manchester Inn is a delightful place to get some rest; lots of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford come here. Through the       summertime, highs typically are in the 80's at Jones Street Pond. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Jones Street Pond are in the 10's. If you came to camp Lake williams Campground is a perfect spot to do that; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Roaring Brook River. Don't leave Jones Street Pond without visiting Gay City State Park, and get yourself                  into a kayak and hit Salmon River. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn - Vernon is a good spot to spend a night or two, and Holman Pond is a delightful lake close by. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Jones Street Pond. Jones Street Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Markham Meadows Campgrounds is a perfect local campground; an afternoon playing golf at Chanticlair Public Golf Course is always a diversion. This lake is so wonderful.
