River. Super 8 Motel - Old Saybrook is a perfect place to get some rest, and do put some time aside to spend at Cold Spring if you're here at Johnson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Waters Edge Resort
and Spa is a perfect choice, and you undeniably must go to Selden Neck State Park while you're here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River, and an afternoon playing golf at Hillside Links Golf Course is always a bliss.
Spring Lot Brook is a wonderful local stream, and why not camp at River Road Campground if you're here at Johnson Pond. Johnson Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and
February is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the summertime months here at Johnson Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Johnson Pond tend to be in the 10's.
