     A glorious location to camp here at Johnson Millpond is Wolf's Den Family Campground; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Roaring Brook River. The high level of precipitation makes Johnson Millpond a rather wet location; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford,  
   and it's a delightful idea to take a look at Dykas Brook. There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; you should take a look at Cones Point when you're here.
So many exciting things to do here at Johnson Millpond, too magnificent to be true. Places like Haddam Meadows State Park are glorious to go to; camping at Markham Meadows Campgrounds is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Leesville Pond, and
 
               the scenery at Johnson Millpond Dam is striking. All through the warm months at Johnson Millpond temperatures are generally in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Johnson Millpond fall into the 10's.
At Johnson Millpond you can see Cave Hill, and a magnificent close by hotel is Super 8 Old Saybrook. Yeah, come here to Johnson Millpond for a magnificent time. What would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge, and Dogwood Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. Waters Edge Resort and Spa is a good place to get some rest, and going for a hike along the Washington Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
Why not explore a swamp like Cove Meadow while you're here at Johnson Millpond, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Mattabesset Trail. While you're here at Johnson Millpond you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail.
