Spectacle Swamp Dam is a place that is near Johns Pond, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not go to Noroneke Lake. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Johns Pond has it all. When you're here at Johns Pond it's always fun to go to Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve; Johns Pond is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Mountain Workshop is a perfect location to camp nearby. You'll need more than                  a day to look at everything Johns Pond has to offer, you can camp at Kettletown State Park; after a long day outdoors Residence Inn Danbury is a great spot to spend a night or two. Summertime at Johns Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Johns Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. Days Inn Ridgefield is a nice place to get some rest, and Ridgefield Golf Course is a glorious golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Branchville Brook while you're here at Johns Pond, and the skiing at Thunder Ridge is fine.
