Ivy Mountain Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. At Ivy Mountain Pond all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ivy Mountain Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Ivy Mountain Pond Dam is pretty and it's right next door to Ivy Mountain Pond, and going for a hike on the Elbow Trail is always

| | a good adventure. Ivy Mountain Pond truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Go for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Housatonic River; if you came to camp Valley In The Pines Campground is a great site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. and Co-operative is a great spot for that. What a site this is for outdoors people. A splendid nearby hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn; if you come at the right time of year, Bantam River offers some delightful whitewater. All the water
falling down from the sky makes Ivy Mountain Pond a wet site; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. A tour to Ivy Mountain Pond wouldn’t be complete without
a journey to nearby John A. Minetto State Park; lots of people from Torrington come here. Hatchaloosie Reservoir is a splendid lake in the neighborhood of Ivy Mountain Pond, and a brilliant view of pretty Beech Hill is available.
Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and a scenic lake like Whist Pond is a good place to have a look at. The slopes of Ski Sundown are so inviting noone can resist, and close by you stumble on the Mattatuck Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.
