Chester Creek is a stream that you may run into during your stay, and if you came for an overnight stay Devil's Hopyard State Park is a nice place to camp. Waters Edge Resort and Spa is a fine location to get some rest, and a round of golf at nearby Hillside Links Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Old Saybrook, and there's great hiking along the Washington Trail. You're in all probability

| | hooked on lakes, Youngs Pond is one of those close by, and great hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail. Ivory Pond gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls through May, and February is the month with the least moisture. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Ivory Pond. Read Reservoir Dam is gorgeous and it's in the vicinity of Ivory Pond; a journey to Gillette Castle State Park invigorates the soul. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. There are some nice whitewater spots on Hammonasset
River, and Deep River Cove is very near and is a glorious place to explore. Summer at Ivory Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs
down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Ivory Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You need to have a look at Pine Ledge if you're here at Ivory Pond, and if you come at the right
time of year, Salmon River offers some magnificent whitewater. Skiing at Powder Ridge is one of those things you just should do. Lakes are nice; Pratt Read Reservoir is a lake that's close to Ivory Pond.
