Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Iris Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Rock is a magnificent site to pop by while in the area, and a tremendous location to camp here at Iris Pond is Branchbrook Campground. Iris Pond regularly gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May while February is mostly the driest month. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Iris Pond. | | Pond, you can go for a hike along the Regicides Trail; there are plenty of folks from New Haven-Milford here at Iris Pond.
Not far from Iris Pond, you'll find Center Pond which is a scenic lake, and a magnificent spot like West Rock Ridge State Park is too pleasant to leave out. Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Iris Pond.
This lake is
so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Conference Center, and the slopes of Mount Southington are so inviting noone can resist. Hit the beach if you want, Sea Bluff Beach is practically right here, and while you're here
and you like golf, you can explore Orange Hills Country Club.
Allington Hill is lovely and can be distinguished from Iris Pond; camping at Gentile's Camp Ground is always a magnificent experience. This lake is so wonderful. If
you need a place to stay Courtyard By Marriott New Haven At Yale is a delightful choice; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Naugatuck Trail. Just can't get enough of Iris Pond. Why not have a look at Lake Wintergreen
Dam while you're here, and since you're here, you could check out Belden Brook.
What would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge, and swamps like Beaver Pond Meadows close to Iris Pond make for perfect locations to stop by.
