If you are in this part of Connecticut make sure to pay a visit to Indian Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Madison Beach Hotel is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Take a hike on the Washington Trail, and Indian Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Riverdale Camp Sites is a pleasant place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Clinton Town Beach is in the neighborhood of Indian Lake if you're in a beach type of mood, and you're in all probability interested in lakes, Boulder Lake is one of those nearby. at Indian Lake if you love the outdoors. Hit the beach if you want, Clinton Beach is practically right here; a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to close by Hammonasset Beach State Park. Hammock River is a great spot
to check out, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River. Here at Indian Lake you can make out Cow Hill, and Stone Island Reef is beyond doubt a great location to visit. Indian Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing
to check out, and River Road Campground is a good local campground. Looking for something in the vicinity of Indian Lake? Lockwood Lake is in close proximity; why not take a refreshing hike along the West Woods Trail. Indian Lake
gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Through the warm months highs here at Indian Lake get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of
summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Indian Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. There are some great whitewater spots on Salmon River, and why not take a look at Clinton Harbor also since you're here.
