Iffland Pond is a lake worth visiting. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Woodbury is right next door to Iffland Pond; you can run the rapids of Bantam River. Take a little visit to East Branch Naugatuck River while you're here at Iffland Pond, and West Branch Dam is scenic. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Iffland Pond you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and Burr Pond State Park is a fine campground nearby.

Places like Burr Pond State Park are wonderful to stop at, and the Tunxis Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Torrington, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail.

Iffland Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. If you need a site to stay Tollgate Hill Inn is a perfect
choice, and since you're here, you could also stop by striking Miscus Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Besse Hill is picturesque and can be distinguished from Iffland Pond, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Farmington
River - Riverton.
Do have a look at Besse Park Pond in the neighborhood of Iffland Pond, it's a stunning lake, and Iffland Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, Macedonia Brook State Park is a great location to camp nearby.
