    Go to Hummers Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in the vicinity of Hummers Pond. Going for a hike along the Washington Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; River Road Campground is a wonderful local campground. A fine nearby hotel is A Victorian Village Inn, and there's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive  
   yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powder Ridge while you're here; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Schumanns Pond.
Hiking along the Mattabesset Trail is magnificent fun; Hammonasset Beach State Park is a fine place to go. Summertime highs at Hummers Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's;
 
               after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hummers Pond descend into the 10's. If you need a place to stay Madison Beach Hotel is a good choice; a day at beautiful Hammonasset Beach close to Hummers Pond is a magnificent thing to do.
Camp Hill can be observed from Hummers Pond, and on a beautiful day you can check out East Rive Beach. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. You ought to visit Webster Point when you're here at Hummers Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Hammonasset River. Lakes are delightful; Horse Pond is a lake that's close to Hummers Pond, and Madison Reef is also a pleasant place to discover.
Hummers Pond is right by the West Woods Trail, and Hummers Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Riverdale Camp Sites is a delightful place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Boulder Lake Dam close to Hummers Pond is scenic, and some of the water close by flows, like Fence Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
The high level of rain makes Hummers Pond a quite wet place; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
