Hubbard Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Nelson's Family Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Hammonasset River. This lake is so wonderful. You must take a look at Bodkin Rock when you're here at Hubbard Pond; there is a great hiking trail close by       called the Washington Trail. Hubbard Pond gets much water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge, and for you golfers we recommend close by Portland Golf Course. Little City Campground is a good local campground; not far from Hubbard Pond you obtain some perfect water scenery at Hubbard Pond Dam. After a long day outdoors Passport                  Inn and Suites Middletown is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and dropping by Hurd State Park is a wonderful thing to do. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Roaring Brook River, and Inn At Middletown is a good spot to get some rest. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Hubbard Pond. Visit Hubbard Brook while you're here at Hubbard Pond, and Asylum Reservoir Number 3 is a brilliant lake close by. Summertime highs at Hubbard Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Hubbard Pond sink into the 10's. Any time is a good time at Hubbard Pond if you adore the outdoors.
