This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Porter Reservoir if you're here at Howard Reservoir; it's close by, and Quality Inn Vernon is a good place to get some rest. Howard Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. There's       so much to do here at Howard Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Del-aire Camping Resort is a nice place for that, and get drenched paddling on Salmon River. For the period of the summer at Howard Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Howard Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. If you're a golfer then                  a brilliant nearby course is Minnechaug Golf Course, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Manchester Inn.
