     If you need a spot to stay Homestead Inn is a great choice; a nice site like Indian Field here at Housatonic River Reservoir is too splendid to miss. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Woodbury is a splendid spot to do that. Here at Housatonic River Reservoir you'll probably meet some folks from Torrington, and one of the governing marks of the surroundings of Housatonic River Reservoir is  
   Aspetuck Hill. Dry warm beds await you at Heritage Inn, and whitewater paddling is great on Tenmile.
So many fun things to do here at Housatonic River Reservoir, too great to be true. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Thunder Ridge, and Day Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck River; getting to Cross Brook from Housatonic River Reservoir
 
               is trouble-free. Yeah, come here to Housatonic River Reservoir for a glorious time. Buck's Rock Camp is a great campground nearby, and Pine Ledge is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood.
During the months of summer here at Housatonic River Reservoir, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Housatonic River Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Housatonic River Reservoir, checking out Lovers Leap is a must, and Housatonic River Reservoir is right by the Mattatuck Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Ferris Pond, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Bleachery Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Candlewood Valley Country Club, and Housatonic River Reservoir is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Lake Waramaug State Park is a tremendous place to camp nearby. The amount of rainfall that falls at Housatonic River Reservoir is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Everybody loves Squantz Pond State Park, and close by you stumble on good locations like Clatter Valley.
