You'll hit upon a charming lake called Palmers Pond near Horseshoe Pond, and you're sure to come across some great people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. Roaring Brook River is a great whitewater spot close to Horseshoe Pond; the peak of Bunker Hill can be distinguished from Horseshoe Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Trail, and why not check out Miller Pond Dam while you're here. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. While you're here at Horseshoe Pond, you could also visit scenic Priess Pond; if you came for an overnight
stay Hammonasset Beach State Park is a splendid place to camp. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Horseshoe Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through
the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Horseshoe Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
