Head up to Mount Southington and strap some skis to your feet, and lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Long Pond. Don't leave Horseshoe Lagoon without first going for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail, and since you're here you must go to Wigwam Neck. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge West Haven is a glorious location to spend a night or two; you'll meet a lot of people from New Haven-Milford here. And that's not all you can do here at Horseshoe Lagoon. There are good places to discover along the Quinnipiac Trail; if you want to hit the beach, Prospect Beach is around here. Camping is available at Wildwood State Park; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - West Haven is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Regicides Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and at Horseshoe Lagoon you can distinguish Allington Hill.
