Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River, and River Road Campground is a good campground nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Riverdale Camp Sites is a magnificent spot to camp; there are some great whitewater
spots on Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the West Woods Trail, and as expected Chatfield Hollow Brook flows through this area. Horse Pond is right next door to Hammonasset Beach State
Park which is a picturesque site. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the vicinity of Horse Pond? Schumanns Pond is around here, and a day at delightful East Rive Beach close to Horse Pond is a fine thing to do.
