     The beauty of Hopeville Pond attracts many people from all around. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike along the Border Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Hopeville Pond is right next door to Hopeville Pond Dam which is a striking place beyond doubt worth checking out, and if the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a magnificent sight of Geer Hill from Hopeville Pond. You truly must go for Hopeville Pond.  
   Quality Inn Plainfield is a wonderful site to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Clayville Pond.
If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because River Ridge Golf Course is nearby; naturally, this is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Pachaug Pond is a lake around here. If time allows, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going
 
               to; drift down the rapids of Natchaug River in a kayak. A nice nearby hotel is Americinn - Griswold, Ct, and camping at Campers World Campground is always a tremendous experience.
This lake is so wonderful. Hopeville Pond State Park is a good site to go if you're at Hopeville Pond; a perfect spot to camp here at Hopeville Pond is Hopeville Pond State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Crooked Brook is a perfect local stream, and at Hopeville Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic. High temperatures at Hopeville Pond all through the summer months are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hopeville Pond are in the 10's.
Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Narragansett Trail, and paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun. Much precipitation falls at Hopeville Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
