Manchester Inn is a perfect location to get some rest; Holbrook Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. During the warm months highs here at Holman Pond get into the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Holman Pond. A good nearby hotel is Howard Johnson Express Inn - Vernon, and you'll meet a lot of people from Hartford-West

Whitewater paddling is fine on Salmon River; of course, everybody loves Gay City State Park. Get dripping wet paddling on Roaring Brook River; why not visit Holbrook Pond Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Hope Valley Brook is a wonderful local stream, and Waters Edge Family Campground is a magnificent campground nearby.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Holman Pond. A round | |

of golf at nearby Blackledge Country Club is a great way to kill some time; the top of Burnt Hill is easily spotted from Holman Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lake williams Campground is a tremendous
site to camp; if you get bored of Holman Pond you could also check out nearby Jones Street Pond. Holman Pond is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; July is when it's the driest.

| THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return. Odetah Campground

I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
