Hartford Reservoir Number 1. During the warm days of summer highs here at Hoe Pond get into the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the
winter temperatures at Hoe Pond drop into the 0's. Hoe Pond is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Golden Acres Campground is a nice place to camp nearby, and a wonderful close by hotel is Simsbury Inn. Man, is there
loads of entertaining stuff to do near Hoe Pond. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Sundown, and explore close by Hart Meadow. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can
always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Farmington River - Collinsville has a great whitewater paddling spot close by,
and the summit of Avon Mountain can be seen from Hoe Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try King Phillip Brook. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hoe Pond has to offer, you can camp at Southwick Acres Campground.
Hiking along the Metacomet Trail is brilliant fun, and Gale Pond Dam is a scenic spot. Hoe Pond is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a large amount of rain; May is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month.
